Laura Sholtz has being using natural healing methods since 1967, and has been in practice since 1989. After graduating from Duquesne University with degrees in Elementary and in Special Education, she became a mother to Jason, Ariel, and Laila. Wanting more in-depth knowledge about natural healing therapies, while raising her children, Laura studied with homeopathic masters from around the world, and pursued degrees from the British Institute of Homoepathy (DIHom, FBIH), Greenwich Universtity (MS), and Clayton College (Ph.D. in Natural Healing).
She is registered with the North American Society of Homeopaths (RSHom), and is certified through the Council for Homeopathic Certification (CCH). In June, 2002 Laura became a certified Master Herbalist. The CENTER FOR NATURAL HEALING serves the central Maine area community.
In addtion to her practice, Laura teaches classes on Homeopathy, Naturopathy, and Herbs and Foods for Health. She is a tutor for the British Institute of Homoepathy, and a Developmental Therapist for preschool children, offers certified teacher support for homeschooling families, and has been a homeschooling mom since 1989.
Laura is also a published writer, and is currently compiling her first vegetarian cookbook. Laura is also on the Board of Directors for NASH, acting as Registrar, and on the Board of Directors for the CHC, working as the liason between the two organizations.
