Dr. Deva K. Khalsa

Email: dkalhas@bihint.com
Qualification:

Profile:

Dr. Deva K. Khalsa's work stems from her belief that animals are at their best only when they are in a healthy and natural state - whether they are pets who offer companionship to humans, or animals who live in the wild. Her efforts are focused upon empowering people to discover and nurture this natural state in their pets; and in doing so, to connect with and celebrate the true spirit of animals.

Dr. Khalsa is a licensed Doctor of Veterinary Medicine having earned her V.M.D. degree from the University of Pennsylvania.

She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, and the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (who certified her in veterinary acupuncture). She has studied homeopathy for over 20 years as well as other alternative therapies, and lectures internationally on her fresh and successful approach to veterinary medicine. She was the co-author of HEALING YOUR HORSE: Alternative Therapies (Howell Book House, 1993).

What Deva Khalsa offers is fresh and important information about caring for dogs. Her insight, information, and guidance are based upon an integrative approach to natural health and healing. Her practice, her newspaper columns and her lectures are a combination of the best of the best. This means traditional veterinary medicine, in combination with a focus on nutrition and the vitamins and minerals that make it possible for a dog to flourish. And preventive alternative natural practices to minimize problems faced by a dog in today's world. It's a simple equation, a series of pluses. The key is an awareness and utilization of alternatives where fitting and where experience has shown that they work.

Dr. Khalsa maintains a thriving practice in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. She is married and is the mother of twin sons.
