Susana Galle is a licensed clinical and neuropsychologist, and a psychopharmacologist. She is Board Certified by nationally validated examinations, as follows: Traditional Naturopath (CTN), Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), Classical Homeopath (CCH), and Phlebotomist. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT 500) and Therapist (PRYT). She holds advanced certifications in Clinical Hypnosis (ASCH), Biofeedback (BCIA, EEG), and Forensic Neuropsychology (DABFE). She is a Functional Medicine practitioner (IFM). A medical psychologist, she holds a prescriptive license in New Mexico.
Based in Washington, D.C. and Cardiff by the Sea, CA, Dr. Galle practices integrative care. She focuses on the reciprocal links between mental/emotional states and physical symptoms, and on the role of stress in illness. Her homeopathic case taking is highly individualized. She uses mind-body methods, psychotherapy, homeopathy, food, vitamins, herbs, and medications as needed. She looks at drug-nutrient-herb interactions in relation to the symptom picture. Her broad background enables Dr. Galle to help patients as they shift across treatment modalities. She pays close attention to the health effects of developmental transitions throughout the life cycle. Dr. Galle views homeopathy as an invaluable catalyst of healing.
Multilingual and multicultural, she works with individuals from around the world. Dr. Galle is an alumna of the University of California, Berkeley, Yale University (Psychology/Psychiatry), and Alliant International University (Psychopharmacology). She received her Doctorate of Naturopathy from Clayton College of Natural Health. Dr. Galle attended postgraduate courses leading to a degree in Clinical Nutrition (Clinical Nutrition Certification Board/Toledo College of Pharmacy). She obtained her postgraduate Diploma in Homeopathic Medicine (DHM) from BIH, and was winner of the 2004 Hahnemann award. Dr. Galle’s work was featured in the 2006 summer issue of Simillimum (Journal of the Homeopathic Academy of Naturopathic Physicians). Her teachers include fine homeopaths (David Little, A.U. Ramakrishnan, Alize Timmerman).
Dr. Galle is on the clinical faculty in Pediatrics at George Washington U. (Children’s National Medical Center, Adolescent & Young Adult Medicine) and Georgetown U., where she teaches Clinical Neuroscience courses for residents. Dr. Galle is also on the faculty at Alliant I. University (San Francisco, CA). She teaches Molecular Nutrition in the M.S. Postdoctoral Clinical Psychopharmacology program.
Dr. Galle is on the advisory board of the British Institute of Homeopathy. She is on the editorial board of the APPPAH (Pre- & Perinatal Psychology & Health) journal, and on the reviewers’ panel of the IAYT (International Association of Yoga Therapy) journal. Dr. Galle is contributing author of two books, and has published articles with an integrative health focus in peer-reviewed journals.
Susana is married to William Galle, a career investment banker and a yoga teacher/therapist by avocation, who has an interest in advanced health and prevention.
